BATTLE OF MY LIFE!

AS SOME OF YOU KNOW ALOT OF THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN MY LIFE I WANTED TO SHARE THIS I KNOW IT INSPIRED ME I HOPE IT DOES THE SAME WITH OTHERS.. This is exactly the thing I need to see and remember as I am in the fight of my life.

Whose Battle Is It?
by Rick Warren

"But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord's victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out there tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!" 2 Chronicles 20:17 (NLT)

*** *** *** ***

In today's passage, God is talking to King Jehoshaphat and the Israelites. They're about to be attacked by three enemies: the Moabites, the Ammonites, and the Meunites.

Jehoshaphat had to be worried about how his people could defend themselves in such a battle, but God knew exactly what Jehoshaphat was thinking. He said, "You will not have to fight in this battle." Now, that's the kind of battle I like!

What God tells Jehoshaphat in this passage, and what he would remind us today, is this: "The battle is not yours; it's mine. You don't have to fight in it."

In other words, it's God's problem. Let him solve it.

The fact is if you are God's child, then your problems are his problems. And he's much better at fighting your battles and solving your problems than you will ever be. Your job is to trust him to work it all out. Perhaps the reason we have so many tired, fatigued, and discouraged Christians is because we think, "It all depends on me."

The day you resign as General Manager of the Universe, you're going to find that it doesn't fall apart. You can relax in faith, trusting that God is able to run things without your help.

Twice in this passage it says, "Don't be afraid," and "Don't be discouraged." When you face a seemingly impossible situation, don't be afraid and don't be discouraged. Has God ever lost a battle? No. He doesn't lose battles.

There's an important phrase in verse 17. God tells Jehoshaphat, "Take your positions and stand firm." What does it mean to stand firm? It means to have a mental attitude of quiet confidence. It is never God's will for you to run from a difficult situation. I've discovered that when I run from a difficult situation, inevitably God always brings it back around and gives me another chance. It's inevitable. Why?

Because God wants us to learn – and he wants to teach us through experience – that in every situation he is sufficient. He is competent and capable and he will meet our needs in that situation. Don't be afraid; fear is the opposite of faith.

You stand firm on two things:

  • The character of God – He's faithful. He does not bring us this far just to let us down. He doesn't bring you out on a limb and then cut off the limb. Have faith in the nature andcharacter of God.
  • The truth of his Word – God's Word is faithful. You can count on the promises found in the Bible.

Stand still. Remember Who the battle belongs to. Trust that he is able to deliver you. And then watch him do it!

People in your life at the right time....

Through the last three days I have been tested, stressed out , and on a emotional journey but yesterday when I needed God the most He came through...Here is what happened in a short version... Yesterday I had a HUGE choice to make.. the kind I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy..Whether or not to take care of my nephew who is 2... I love all my nieces and nephews like there my own children but financially I didn't think that we could keep him ... I prayed to God to give me an open door if I am supposed to keep him or give me peace if I wasn't supposed to keep him... Well the door was WIDE OPEN... I had a friend from church and her husband(shanelle and brandon) that called me up and said I will come get you at 5 and I want you to make a list of things you need to keep landyn .. to my suprise we got there she not only bought us 3 boxes of diapers(with 108 in each box) that we wouldnt have been able to get for him she got us ALOT of food for the kids.. GOD IS SOOOOOOO AMAZING.. Her and her husband are a blessing... As were in the checkout lane she tells me this past week I have been thinking how blessed me and my husband are and that we need to help somehow and when I talked to you this morning God already knew what you were going to go through and that I was gonna talk to you that morning and he already knew this was gonna be what happend.. I thought to myself WOW what a concept God put the exact person at the exact time that I needed her the most.. That really just floored me that a person could care that much about others .. I also realized that GOD is listening to me even though I was starting to wonder if he was hearing me.. HE DOES ..

Love you guys,
Jenny

New Life Kids

I want to take a minute to talk about the amazing wed night class I have at New Life Fellowship.. I am one of the two teachers on wed nights Movers and shakers(3-5) and l am floored with how much they have learned and have grown since I first started last year. The kids always come prepared and tell me whats on there mind and sometimes they teach me in some way... God always is working on them.. and When it comes time to do prayer requests they don't mention themselves they ALWAYS mention there mom's and dad's ( OH AND BOO BOO'S ) there just so willing to put others before themselves at a young age.. That alone inspires me.. We are gonna be stepping it up and I am so excited about it.. I am ready for what God is about to have in store for our kids ... I have never been so proud of a class before.. Some of these kids have been with me ever since I started ministry when I was 17 and they mean the world to me..

Take care ,
Jenny

Can I have a drum roll please....

I want to take a minute out to talk about Politics... I KNOW a very touchy subject.. but I want to address it and want people to understand this is MY OPINION.. ONLY AN OPINION.. I know some people can get very sensitive and passionite when it comes to this but I want to speak my piece and want everyone to be able to speak theres as well .. HERE WE GO... In the 2008 election I am voting for Hilary Clinton.. BUT BEFORE I HEAR THE "It's just because she is a woman" Statement that I ALWAYS hear when talking about it Let me tell you my reasons

1. I believe that with the help of her husband ,who made bad personal and moral decisions was still a VERY good president and helped improve this economy, would be like getting two presidents for the price of 1.

2. she is for these things(TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM HER SITE):

3. I believe that she is strong and can take this country back to a good spot

those are the three reasons out of many that I want her to win the 2008 precidency

I WANT TO KNOW YOUR OPINIONS BUT PLEASE RESPECT MY RIGHT TO MY OWN OPINION AS I WILL RESPECT YOURS..

TAKE CARE,
JENNY

THE BEST SUNDAY EVER!

I was home by myself (with Lilli of course) ALL day today until about 6:30 pm and I gotta tell you it was FANTASTIC.. I relaxed watched some TV and just really enjoyed some me time... I guess sometimes EVERYONE needs a break once in awhile.I also went to church this morning., Pastor B's message was once again inspiring .I actually learned another new Person at my church's name (TARA). How many times I saw her and passed her by thinking "I will talk to her eventually when she is more comfortable" but truth was I was the one uncomfortable.WHY? I will tell you why that's what the enemy wants you to feel... the moment I said hi to her she shook my hand with a smile and said it right back.. Then the rest of the day I spent thinking WOW! How many times have I passed up an opportunity to reach out to someone for Christ? How selfish can I be.I have to admit I learn new things about myself everyday ,and some I don't like.My challenge for ALL of us is to get,as B says it(I am going to paraphrase it )," comfortable with being uncomfortable" Shake someones hand or say hello even a smile because you never know the reason for God putting that person RIGHT in front of you at that moment.

P.S.. I also was at the New Life Kids meeting after church ended and I got to tell you I am so STOKED about what God's gonna do with New Life Kids.. WATCH OUT.. lol

See you soon,
Jenny

Happiness???

Sometimes alot of people (including myself) feel that happiness lies with certain people in your life but that's not true.. As pastor B pointed out happiness is a "feeling" not something you can physically touch so why then do we strive for what we "think" will make us happy? It's a well known fact that people are gonna let us down, people are gonna lie to us, and people are not something that we should let control OUR happiness... I have come to notice in my own life that I think alot about things I don't have that will make me happy (Marriage, a car, and etc...) which shifts my focus off of what I do have ( A beautiful little girl, A rock solid faith & devotion to God, and a loving family (ESPECIALLY my church family!) ) So what more can I ask for right now I am still young the rest will come later but I have to live in today and keep thinking about what in my life is GOOD and not bad.. I challenge EVERYONE to just keep focused on what they do have and forget about what God will take care of in the future!

Jenny

LIFE IS FUNNY

Hello again! I have been so busy that I haven't updated in 4 days.. Today when I came home from church I actually CLEANED... something I didn't want to do but did it anyway because it needed it... My room is SPOTLESS and the Living room looks pretty good.. It's incredible how much someone can inspire you to get motivated enough to do the things that need to be done, that you have been putting off..... I heard pastor Brandons sermon today about how sometimes U have to do things that God wants you to do some things that you don't want to do but u do it anyway because thats what u NEED or HAVE to do... THANKS BRANDON..LOL... LOVE YOU GUYS.. Jenny

FIRST BLOG ON HERE!

Where do I start? There is so many things that a person (ESPECIALLY me) can talk about . I am 20 years old but have gone through alot of changes in the past two years.... As I am sitting here I am currently in yet another change .. my life seems to be full of them... My oldest sister Nikki is leaving her partner of 2 years and so I am taking care of her daughter Krystina,4 along with my other niece from my OTHER sister Lilli,3 (I have had her for a year and when I turn 21 I am adopting her) so it's easy to see that my life changes from a moments notice ... My new motto "EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED"... But one thing remains... my passion for christ that I have had for almost 4 years now... I remain to have faith in any given situation thrown at me.. God will get me through it one way or another he always has ... As this weeks challenge presents itself I remember the verse 1 Corinthians 16:13 "Be on your guard;stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong." ... I encourage everyone just to really take it in this week as your facing your own challanges...

Take care
Jenny
